Well I think its interesting to get in contact with different cultures and listen to different opinions, even if its in a game… for example, in my guild are not only Belgian people: there are Israeli, Chinese, Romanian, American, Dutch, French, English people
And that’s because we spend most of our time in the international district instead of restricting our self to English 1
And like gail said, the more different districts the more divided the player base will be…

So because you find it interesting, the whole player base has to be stimulated to do so? People so inclined are able to do it anyway; you and your guild are a prime example.
I don't find it interesting or useful at all and I don't want to be 'stimulated' to do anything of the sort.

Umm, no? I'm totally surprised this has made it to 7 pages of utter crap... I'm Euro and ANet have been really helpful to me and my guild since beta, on top of Andrew Patrick going out of his way to help the radio show for The Sanitarium that I do for Guild Wars (Martin kerstein from NCSoft Europe has been even more helpful too, both of them even joining us for shows and Martin himself doing a show for the release of GW:EN...)

I enjoy playing with people all over the world too. My guild has spannish, greek, swedish, finnish, polish, french, dutch, welsh, english and american.
I may enjoy it, buty not everyone will, so it shouldn't be forced.
If you enjoy playing with a diverse team of cultures then thats what international district is for.

You can have it, it sucks.
I knew that Dutch people wouldn't get a server, because they say that we are not with that many. But after they said that they made a Polish district what? A POLISH DISTRICT. Even less Polish people play this game!!!!

I got my own district
/sarcasm off
To the OP
As mentioned already, events starts at noon GMT, and last throughout the entire weekend.
This time the events lasts throughout 26-31, so there is plenty of time participating in it.
And the early start is only for all the graphics added to the whole scenery, npc's are not spawned yet I believe, they weren't a few hours ago.
Next time look at the official website and check the time up against your local time before complaining.
If you get confused about GMT, am and pm, there are sites explaining and even converting the times for you.
Like this one as example http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc

Explodie, apparently you dislike the company behind the game..why do you keep playing it then ?
You should consider switching to a dutch online game instead, no clue if there is such a thing though.
Personally I dislike all the language district on the europe servers, it divides the player base to much. And most of the time the Spanish and Italian districts are just empty..adding a dutch district would not improve the game. Just got an idea maybe you can get all your dutch friends together and make a hostile takeover of those districts, then they are at least used....
As I see it the main language for communication across borders are the English language. If someone don't like to type English in a borderless online game they should examine the market for a online game based on their own native language.

Okay, even my last hope didn't work >.>
This is what some1 told me
Quote:
My friend tried to use Wirecard in the online store, but the transaction was refused and he was given a fraud suspection error. After emailing support, support told him the Wirecard MasterCard was issued in Germany and he should use a credit card issued in the Netherlands (his home country). So I'm guessing the same applies to you. Wirecard won't work.

So i really cant get it anymore

21:01 it's the best time for events to start.
Just after supper.
Look at polish districts. THey are almost always empty.
I even use them when I need to move quickly without talking to other players.
Barely 10 people in districts with District 4 active in English ones.

Well in a store a guild mebmer of mine got nightfall from they gave away t-shirts with the game, i never got that at my store and i didn't complain.
The BMP was a promotion, meant to get more people using the noline store, if you chose not to or could not use it for any reason then thats not Anets fault. Alot of people chose to get from the online store instead showing the promotion worked.
If they where to sell the bmp at a later date then it would undermine any future promotion they may offer.

Frankly there can't be this vast majority of Dutch speaking players in the game. It's simple math. I don't doubt that there are a lot of Dutch speaking players but certainly not enough to warrant a separate district. I mean the population of Belgium is about 10 million. Break that down into the 18-30 demo that is most likely to play online games and you get an even smaller number. Compound that further by the fact that German and French is spoken there as well and you get an even smaller number of Dutch speaking people. Simply comparing that to the numbers from the other countries represented in the game and it becomes clear why there is no Dutch server. Even if you put the Netherlands in there you still end up with a smaller population percentage than any of the represented languages in Guild Wars.

Yes even Poland has a slightly higher population than Belgium and the Netherlands put together.

YES, A-NET HATES THE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES. There, the secret is out. Now that you know the truth can we get a closed thread, this whine rant is doing nothing constructive and Gaile has already posted their response.
